Medior Cybersecurity Consultant
3 to 6 years of experience · Brussels · remote work and flexible hours
Your role
As a medior cybersecurity consultant, you will work on client engagements and internal projects covering:
- Security Operations (SOC). monitoring and qualifying alerts, contributing to triage and incident response, improving detection rules and playbooks, acting as a counterpart to internal or managed SOC teams.
- Vulnerability Management. owning the full cycle: scanning, risk-based prioritisation, driving remediation with IT teams, reporting and KPIs to management.
- Risk Management. identifying, assessing and documenting security risks, proposing mitigation measures, contributing to the risk register and to security committees.
- Cloud Security. assessing and hardening Azure and AWS environments (IAM, configuration, logging, posture management), supporting project teams on best practices.
- Compliance & Governance. contributing to the implementation and maintenance of an ISMS aligned with ISO 27001, drafting policies and procedures, audit preparation, and support on NIS2, DORA and GDPR engagements.
- Client advisory. turning technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders and C-level audiences.
Your profile
- ✓3 to 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, in consulting or in a corporate environment.
- ✓Hands-on experience in SOC operations and/or vulnerability management (tools such as Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic, Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7).
- ✓Solid understanding of security risk management and of the ISO 27001 standard.
- ✓Practical experience with at least one cloud environment (Azure or AWS).
- ✓A recognised certification (CEH, OSCP, GCIH, eJPT or equivalent). ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, CISM or CISSP are a real plus.
- ✓Fluent French and English, required for our clients and our team (Dutch is an asset).
- ✓A strong analytical mindset, autonomy, and the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF and the CIS Controls.
- Scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, KQL).
- Experience in audited or regulated environments.
